The Matanza is the finest wahoo trolling lure in the business. Used by North Carolina waterman for over a decade it is known as the weighted wahoo killer of choice. Don't be caught offshore without it. The Matanza Coffin Kit is a complete 6 pack of all the Matanza color options. This is (by manufactureing standards) the first american made product that Squidnation has come out with. Don't get me wrong all the bars and chains are 100% assembled in the Lure Mecca of Tyaskin, Maryland USA but this one was actually mostly manufactured and fully assembled here on the east coast. The trick to this little bugger is the weighted head. It has a weighted head and flares out to a weighted bell. But the top of the bell has been cut off to make the bally/lure combo troll upright. We also had the mold made with a larger whole in the back of the head to allow for a perfect tight fit of a ballyhoo head.
