September 19th - Ocean City, Maryland in the Washington Canyon. Fished the canyon amongst the weeds. trolled by a lobster ball and caught an 8lb dolphin on a green/yellow wahoo whacker. made a second pass and caught a nice white marlin on a blue and white Islander. Third pass resulted in missing a wahoo and fourth pass resulted in missing another white marlin. Nice but sloppy sea conditon. 73.5 degrees and blue. lots of life, sharks and porpoises but not much bait to be found.

Friday Septemeber 23rd  started out in 53 fathoms. shy of the tip. couldn't get the planer rod down with the upright troller. I thought it was a bad planer but the I realized their was a fish attached to the upright troller that Marty gave me. Turned out to be a 65lb yellowfin on the #8wire upright troller. Got him in the boat and kept on trolling. Next we got a nice dolphin on a ball. An hour later we had a white up on the rasta bar down the middle. Fed the dink bait back to him and had a classic bait and switch. Got the white marlin on and the fight was on. Got some great pics and let the big white go. made a turn and reset the spread. I thought it was dejavu but it turned out to be 3 more white going crazy on the same rasta bar. It was only Dovehunt and I on the boat. We saw whites behind all baits. ended up setting the hook on 3. two stayed tight. Great pics to follow. we decided to go deadboat since it was just two of us on the boat. Got a relatively quick release on my fish and went for the camera to get some shots of dovehunts fish. The fish came to the boat quickly until we got the release. That is when he went nuts. I will post the pics later tonight or tomorrow. All in all we went 3-5 on the day for whites plus the tuna and dolphin. had one more mystery bite. What an awesome day. Can't wait to get back out their after the blow this weekend. Everything happened in 70 fathoms of the washington. God I love september!!!!!!!

Fished Sept 30th and Oct 1 outside the washington on Saturday with Often Ernie, Eric and Rachel. big weed line in 500 fathoms that were holding some bigger dolphin. Put a couple in the box and continued the search for marlin. Found loads of bait in the washington and started working the highest pod we found. The bait was down about 10 fathoms compared to the rest of the pods that were down by the thermocline. White Marlin comes up on the rasta bar and actually hooks up. Ernie grabs the rod (yes, ERNIE GRABBED THE ROD) He tried to give away but the fish came unbuttoned before he could. Then another fish came up on the right short and switched to the right long before we hooked up and got the release. BY THE WAY ERNIE YOU MUST HAVE DONE EVERYTHING RIGHT. That was it for the marlin encounters. Had a 75lb and 60lb yellowfin and a 40lb longfin as well. A couple of other tuna bites that we had on the dink rods that didn't stay tight.

Sunday returned to the same spot but inshore a bit. First bar out gets annilated. Must have been a hoo or white because the fish stayed high. Lost em. Next a white comes up on the green bar and switches off to the left long. grabbed the dink bait running away. Lets just say their we a few birds circling my boat waiting to lay an egg on the NEST that i created inside of my tld25, ooops. Couldn't raise another fish although they were their. 840 line in about 120 fathoms. took out the bar and replaced it with the Au Naturelle Squid Dredge and had a white up minutes later. Missed. Missed our last attempt at a white in 50 fathoms. Fish came up on the big bait. Black and purple Islander pro with a horse.
